Mia took her dancing exams at the beginning of July achieving a Distinction for both her Grade 3 Modern and Grade 4 Ballet. However, she did particularly well for her ballet as not only was she awarded 91% (an outstanding mark) she was nominated by the examiner for the International Dance Teacher’s awards (IDTA) for ballet. This means that she will dance up in Manchester in February along with approximately 100 students; the lucky student will be awarded a cash prize to support their dance training. To put it in perspective, there are approximately 8500 children taking ballet grades each year nationally; there will be approximately 150 nominated, so Mia is the top percentage of the country. Fantastic achievement!
