RNLI Visit Year 6
On Friday 23rd September a representative from the Royal National Lifeboat Institution conducted a short interactive workshop sessions with Year 6. The workshop linked with the children’s PSHE&C curriculum and covered the beach SAFE message, an introduction to the concept of beach lifeguards, the meaning of beach flags and safety signs, and what to do if somebody is in trouble in the water. The children were encouraged to develop skills to make safe decisions about water safety and enjoyed questioning our visitor about his work with the RNLI.
