Beech Class Visit to Aldershot Military Museum

Beech Class visited Aldershot Military Museum on Friday 11th November. The children observed the  2 minute silence in front of an exhibition which has a rare and original WWI Burberry trench coat, made in Hampshire and worn by an officer who lost his life at Ypres in 1917.

The coat belonged to Lieutenant Colonel Robert Arthur Hudson and is now owned by his granddaughter Susan Hudson who has loaned it to the museum for their exhibition.

Susan was present at the museum today to lay a wreath in front of the coat at 11am and our children were able to be part of that too.
