South Farnham Teaching School has been selected by The Department for Education to deliver this central programme of support for schools in the South East. This is a fully funded DfE project with no cost to schools. The department expects schools to engage this training to ensure compliance across the sector in time for the statutory changes in September 2020.

Training will support schools in auditing their provision and training their own staff with a package of presentation materials and resources to ensure that the school is ready to deliver the new RSHE curriculum. These sessions will be virtual due to the current circumstances with the first two sessions live with Q&A opportunities and then also available recorded. We want to support your schools with getting RSHE ready in this difficult time.

Our programme comprises a ‘train the trainer’ and peer support model, using accredited DfE materials, to prepare teachers for the introduction of compulsory Relationships, Sex and Health Education in 2020/21. Once you have attended the training you will then be able to deliver it to staff in your school. The training is aimed at PSHE/Inclusion leads.

Schools are required to put in place the key building blocks of healthy, respectful relationships, focusing on family and friendships, inclusion in all contexts, including online. This will sit alongside the essential understanding of how to be healthy. This is a specialist area of the curriculum, dealing with complex and sensitive issues and this training will help all teachers and leads of PSHE/RSHE to prepare for the compulsory implementation in 2020/21.

Look below to book into our training and clinics. You will start with the introductory webinar before progressing onto the various modules. Due to popularity, sessions will be repeated. Please contact RSHE@sfet.org.uk if you experience any technical difficulties with a booking link:
